Locke Hotels – 72 Hours In Cambridge
Compendia Studio launched its debut 72 Hours In travel guide in collaboration with Locke Hotels, using Cambridge — one of the UK’s cycling capitals — as the destination. To lean into the city’s cycling culture, we partnered with Freddie Grubb, a Cambridge-based bicycle brand known for craftsmanship and minimalist design, as well as Closca, the collapsible helmet company from Valencia. Alongside these, the guide featured Bellroy bags, Aesop products, and was shot entirely on Fujifilm cameras.
Over the course of three days, we showcased more than 20 local independent cafés, bars, restaurants, shops, and cultural venues, weaving them into a curated itinerary anchored by Locke’s hotel. Each brand partner received bespoke photography and video assets, and the final guide became part of Locke’s wider European campaign, where the hotel group commissioned a series of 72 Hours guides with creators across their portfolio.
For us, the Cambridge edition proved the concept of the series: combining authentic destination storytelling with strategic hotel positioning to increase bookings, tourism, and cultural engagement, while staying true to our ethos of celebrating independent businesses.
