Decca Faire

Decca Faire (b. 1998, Norfolk, England) is a mixed media artist working across film, photography, spoken word, and endurance performance. Her physically demanding practice — encompassing ultra-marathon running, distance walking, and cold-water swimming — explores themes of womanhood, isolation, freedom, and endurance. Drawing on feminist influences from Ana Mendieta to Nan Shepherd, Decca fuses body and landscape to question identity and dissolve boundaries between subject and place. A First-Class graduate of The Glasgow School of Art, she has exhibited in Glasgow, Norfolk, Brighton, and Edinburgh, and was awarded The Walter Scott Prize by the Royal Scottish Academy for her endurance performance Haute Route.
